I can’t believe I actually just spend £552 on a set of books. I’ve been teetering over whether to buy this set for a couple of weeks - it’s insanely expensive and overpriced but nevertheless that is content that is unattainable anywhere else, and limited to 3000 copies as a collectable it’s going to exponentially increase in value. I finally tipped over the edge last night with an unboxing video in thai; they just flicked through each of the books and they’re all so awe-inspiring, especially to somebody interested in film production.

I really want to use this blog more, it’s such a cool url and has a lot of history, and it’s making a bad partner to my awesome drarry fanfiction archive. So look out 2013, I’m going to be attempting to write the ultimate drarry fanfic (fml) and I’ll be scanning and commentating on portions of the complete filmmaking journey set and I’m going to spend the rest of the evening redesigning it.

One group of performers had come to reunite their college friends and close out a creative chapter in all their lives. At the same time, far-flung fans came to celebrate literary and digitally forged connections in the flesh. And a fan convention strove to redefine itself as more than just a place for a boy wizard. Welcome to the new home of Pour Être Belle Themes. I’m proud to present a new interface and updated (and one new) themes to match. The updates have mostly been back-end scripty things but here are some of the more significant changes:

Araminta - no premium version (see here), no need to chose the ‘width’, theme will appropriate chose image size automatically
Broderick - SO MUCH BETTER. you can choose however many columns, post width and post margin, foldover on text posts, like and reblog buttons, expanded posts (by a featured tag or one or more posts every page iteration, e.g. posts 6 and 11 are double width)
Celestina - all new so there’s lots to look at. check out the coloured posts
Cygnus - new Instagram widget. you can now choose any post width, sidebar width, post and sidebar margins. temporarily removed the ‘description open on load’ but will put that back in soon
Elphinstone - mostly backend and small fixes but worth a reinstall
Mnemone - no premium version (see here) but the feature for an expanded post tag has leaked into the new version
Quirinius - SO MUCH BETTER. dodgy animation has been fixed, you can show the captions of photo posts, posts can be any height, video aspect ratio fixed, and motherclucking photosets! that actually fit!

Perenelle Development

I’m slowly developing a new premium theme called Perenelle. I want it to be for professional use - small business blogs, photography portfolios ect. where the focus is on the content rather than frippery. It’s going to be rather like High Res by jstn in that there’ll be a single column design and different types of posts have different widths (chosen by appearance options or each post individually using a tag like ‘width-670’). This is the first of my themes to include additional share buttons (like, tweet, g+, pin and shorturl) and every minute detail will be considered, right down to custom list numbering.

I’m really excited about this theme but it’s going to take some time until it’s ready to install, feel free to track my progress on the demo blog. Perenelle will be premium (and probably around £10 because it’s going to be freaking perfect) and I’m not going to make a free version (because it wouldn’t do the theme justice) but the first 24 hours after the launch you’ll be able to download it for free.
